Position Title: Communications & Membership Manager Position Reports to: Director of Member & Community Engagement Employee Categories: Full Time Year Round FLSA Category: Exempt, Salaried - Benefit Eligible The Communications & Membership Manager oversees the Senior Communications Coordinator who designs all member communications to promote the sporting activities, services, facilities and membership benefits to existing members. This person also serves as the primary liaison to the Admissions Committee, confidentially maintaining all candidates in the membership pipeline. This Leadership Team Member interacts with every department on campus and works closely with all sporting and activity team leaders. This position requires a delicate balance of creativity, attention to detail, subtle promotion of technology and preservation of the social, personal and interactive nature of the Club. The ideal candidate will have a passion for country club sports and activities and desire to teach the membership how to get the most out of their club. Primary Responsibilities: * Original and effective communication is paramount in enhancing the Club Members' Experience through digital, video, social and print media * Lead the crafting and disseminating of engaging communications to members, employees and the community * Uphold the Club's brand to reflect our values, traditions and rich history * Lead and evaluate the annual communications calendar * Provide leadership and supervision to the Communications Coordinator * Manages digital marketing efforts for all departments, which includes, but is not limited to: * Web & Print Content - Invitations, Flyers, and Annual Publications * Weekly and Monthly Newsletters and Target Emails * Club App & Push Notifications * Private & Public Instagram Accounts - Stories and Posts * Digital Bulletin Boards on Campus for Specific Sports - Golf, Tennis, Curling, Pool, Fitness etc. * Photography & Videography (including drone) for Marketing Content, including editing video * LinkedIn Posts * Responsible for writing, reviewing and publishing articles and design layouts for all areas of the Website and Club App * Manage Club Photography including planning and organizing club event photography in coordination with our Events Team, taking photos as specific club events and organizing electronic filing of photography * Leadership Team * Support and guide all departments responsible for providing content for email, website, social media and print communications * Support with presentation preparation * Admissions/Membership * Serve as the liaison to the Admissions Committee, which also includes a 2-3 evening events per month * Manage the database / pipeline of candidates in the queue * Member Services Liaison for current and prospective members * Lead monthly New Member Orientations * Other Committee Work * Primary contact for club committees and their communication portal (communicating minutes, meeting announcements, reservations and meeting spaces); manage committee database. * Provide metric reports for Club Committees and the Board. * Additional duties/ projects as assigned by management. Required Skills: The Communications & Membership Manager should have 3-5 years of communications or marketing experience, ideally in a leadership role within a complex entity which included experience with website development/maintenance, social media content, newsletters and member communication. Proven ability to develop and implement a marketing and communications plan, assess its success and make improvements. * Must be highly organized and detail-oriented; strong project management and time management skills * Must be able to work independently and in collaboration with members, multiple employee departments, and vendors * High energy, mature, creative, innovative and analytical thinker, action-oriented, versatile, ability to adapt in dynamic environment, resourceful * Proficiency Required: AP Style, Adobe Suite, HTML, MS Office, iWork, Zoom and FTP Clients Specialized Knowledge/Licenses Required: * 3-5 years' experience in an office or private club environment. * Creative writing skills and marketing experience. * Club Management Software: Jonas Encore of Jonas Club Software and/or MembersFirst, Inc. and/or BellesBoard a plus Physical Requirements: * Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift for up to 8 hours a day. * Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
