Mechanical Designer/Drafter - Tymetal Corp. Tymetal Corp. has a rewarding full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter in our Fort Miller, NY office. Our Designer/Drafter will work closely with sales to develop submittal drawings using AutoCAD and will also support the manufacturing team with shop drawings using SolidWorks. Excellent benefits are provided, including: * Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) AND 401(k) with company match * Paid time off, including vacation, paid sick leave and holidays * Tuition reimbursement plan that pays 100% of continuing education expenses * Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance with an employer funded HSA * Fully paid life insurance and disability protection plans Responsibilities of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter: * Develop and maintain layouts, cut sheets and designs for our steel and aluminum gate products. * Prepare drawings from photos, detailed notes and product specifications for the sales and manufacturing departments. * Generate manufacturing bills of material (BOM's). * Convert sales orders to manufacturing work orders using our ERP software. * Recommend design modifications to improve and/or simplify finished product. * Update and modify drawings based on Engineering Change Notices submitted by manufacturing. Qualifications of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter: * AAS in Mechanical Drafting or Design, or equivalent work experience. * SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required. * Strong mechanical aptitude. * Familiarity with document management systems. * Manufacturing and steel or aluminum fabrication experience preferred.
