Job Description: The Department of Psychology at the University at Albany, SUNY, is seeking to hire a Lecturer (Non-Tenure-Track) to spearhead our new online degree program, beginning in September 2024. The successful candidate will lead multiple online courses in Psychology, oversee the development of the program's curriculum, and play a crucial role in mentoring and advising students enrolled in the online program. Candidates must have a graduate degree in Psychology, extensive experience in online teaching, and a demonstrated appreciation for research. The ideal candidate will have experience with innovative online instructional strategies and certification in online instruction. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, developing online course materials, and enhancing student engagement in a virtual environment. The ability to teach courses in Statistics, and Research Methods is especially desirable. Ideally, the Lecturer position will include instruction in APSY 101 Intro, APSY 210 Statistics, APSY 238 Abnormal, APSY 270 Social OR APSY 327 Personality, and APSY 329 Health Psychology or related courses. Contract renewal will be contingent upon job performance and program success. Requirements: Required Qualifications: * A Doctoral degree in Psychology from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by 8/16/2024.
