Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department Job Description: A Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. The Registered Nurse is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness. * Assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service. * Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. * Has access to medication storage areas as required for job tasks. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Requirements: * Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required. * Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred) * Completion and maintenance of BLS. * ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 6 months of hire. * Preferred TNCC * NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
