The Department of Education, Counseling and Leadership within the College of Education and Health Science at Bradley University is actively seeking applications for a full-time 12-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor and Practicum/Internship Coordinator for Counseling to teach within our Clinical Mental Health Counseling/School Counseling Program. This position requires residence on campus. The candidate would obtain a three-credit hour reduction in teaching to dedicate time to overseeing Practicum/Internship training placements. Bradley University, based in Peoria, Illinois, has well-established accredited program with an excellent reputation for experiential learning and experienced faculty with various areas of specialty and expertise. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or a related field, must be either Illinois licensed or license-eligible as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, have at least two years of clinical and/or teaching experience at the graduate level in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, have experience working with CACREP, and must be willing to engage in online instruction. Bradley University offers its master's degree Counseling program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, both concentrations respectively provide academic preparation for students who wish to pursue licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in Illinois (LPC) or school counselor. The program is designed for working adults with classes offered in two formats: Peoria Campus with an evening teaching format or an Online Campus format with (2) weekend campus residencies. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Teaching a wide range of graduate-level courses in Counseling * Advising and mentoring students * Supervising students as they move through their clinical placements * Demonstrating ability to contribute to the core programs * Demonstrating ability to collaborate with colleagues on projects, such as research and grants * Maintain compliance with CACREP Section 3 - Professional Practice * Serve as liaison between program and training sites and clinical supervisors * Maintain clinical training course templates * Attending at least one graduation ceremony a year * Participating in on-campus residency events * Assist with CACREP accreditation activities Bradley University seeks to hire faculty with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, student success, and civic engagement; and who understand the educational benefits of ethnic and racial diversity in the campus community.
