Job Duties: * Plan and organize loads within region to dispatch trucks to meet customer requests and production team activities. * Communicates with customers to determine driver demand and driving schedules. * Notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data into a computer database. * Prepare delivery tickets for drivers and respond to inquiries from drivers. * Utilize multi-line phones, two-way radios, and computer software for data entry and route coordination. * Performs administrative duties. Work Environment: * Indoor office environment. Physical Requirements: * Frequent Sitting. Experience & Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent. * 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. * Adequate combination of education/service years/experience will be considered for the right candidate. * Familiar with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trucking industry. * Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Assertive, self-motivated and positive attitude. * Attention to detail while performing a variety of tasks is a must. * A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. * Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills. * Customer service oriented. * Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Excel and Word.
