Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: Duties consistent with Physical Therapy Classification Standard set forth in Civil Service. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Senior Physical Therapist, you would provide comprehensive Physical Therapy services to individuals with Developmental Disabilities on assigned caseload, ensuring they receive PT related care and equipment, and are safe in their day program/work site, and home environments. Duties include but are not limited to: * Complete Physical Therapy-related assessments and treatment plans and provide thorough and accurate documentation to support services provided * Provision of direct PT services as needed based on an Evidence-Based Practice approach * Provide training of agency staff on implementation of PT related plans, routines, home exercise plans etc. * Completes new employee orientation (NEO) and 'Beyond the Basics' training of new staff with training team * Facilitation and completion of Community-Based PT services for individuals (IPSIDD) * Durable Medical Equipment (DME) procurement, wheelchair seating and positioning assessments, and Environmental Modification (E-Mod) assessment, justification, and acquisition * Plans, carries out, and supervises physical therapy students as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team or as a clinical supervisor * Supervision of Physical Therapist Assistant, as per agency guidelines SELECTION CRITERIA: * Ability to function as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team relating to professional, para-professional and direct care staff. * Ability to communicate in a thorough, concise, accurate and professional manner both verbally and in writing. * Electronic Health Record (EHR) or similar experience in compliance with CMS regulations. * Training/public speaking experience. * Possess an acceptable time and attendance record as specified in the time and attendance policy. * Possess an acceptable work record (E-File) * Possess Safe Patient Handling experience LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/nys-office-for-people-with-developmental-disabilities/posts/?feedView=all #LI-EK1 Additional Comments Please note: * If you are employed by state government, you may be able to receive loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
