Membership Director, FULL-TIME We're hiring a Full-Time Membership Director at The University Club of Milwaukee Country Club in Brown Deer, WI! The Membership Director is directly responsible for all development and implementation of programs and activities designed to increase and retain Membership in the Club. This includes all Member/Resident activities, new Member orientation and new Membership promotions, marketing strategies, and sales initiatives. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with the ability to work proactively and independently, as needed. This includes competitive compensation ranging from $70,000 - $75,000 plus commission. Total compensation estimated between $80,000 - $90,000. Responsibilities * Responsible for sales, expenses, and new Member acquisition/retention goals as outlined in the Membership department operating plans/budgets * Responsible for full-cycle Membership prospect activities; including Club tours, processing Membership applications and follow-up to Membership inquiries * Determines which local markets should be canvassed for prospective Members * Works with Troon Marketing Communications team and the Club's General Manager to create Membership marketing collateral * Plans and conducts prospective Member functions * Develops and conducts new Member orientation programs * Assists the Club's Social Committee (if applicable) in planning, promoting, and generating enthusiasm and interest for the Club's social programs * Promotes Club activities using all available resources, including the newsletter, table tents, cart signs, flyers, closed-circuit television, website, and other means * Works closely with all other department heads to ensure that complete, concise information goes to Members and staff who will be involved in Member and Resident activities * Develops and supervises the Club's Membership communications programs * Institute and implement all Troon' Human Resources guidelines * Assists in the development and distribution of the Club's annual Membership survey * Maintains the Club's database of Membership and Member files * Assesses the need for and makes recommendations regarding Membership classifications to help ensure that the needs of an ever-changing market are met * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Education and Experience Requirements * 2-3 years of experience in related field of membership sales or customer relations * A four-year college degree preferred * Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business * Comfortable with cold-calling and lead creation through outbound efforts * Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and CRM applications (Salesforce) * Must be extremely organized, efficient, and detail-oriented * Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter * Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly * Excellent prospecting and closing skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines Working Conditions * Requires the ability to speak, hear, and see * Regularly required to sit for long periods of time using a monitor and keyboard; use hands to finer, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms * Requires the employee to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch to pick things up or move displays around * Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally * Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception * Noise level is moderately quiet * Work extended hours during golf and holiday season * Work weekends and holidays About Troon Troon started as one facility in 1990 and has since grown to become the world's largest professional club management company.
