CAD Interior Designer Department: Marketing 500011 Employment Type: Full Time Location: North Ridgeville Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 / year Description A CAD designer uses technology to help generate 2D and 3D designs for projects. CAD designers must have strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of design software. CAD designers must work with other team members and departments to translate site surveys and as-built measurements into 2d floor plans. CAD designer will create drawing sheet sets that include floor plan and elevations, demo plan, MEP notations, equipment specifications, millwork shop drawings and renderings. In order to be effective, CAD designers must be proficient in the software, know architectural and design industry standards and be familiar with MEP requirements. An administrator is responsible for monitoring project status, drawing reviews, set and keep track of timelines and working interdepartmentally to push project process forward. An administrator will work closely with space planning director and interior designers at the office with the need for field work on occasion. Key Responsibilities * Design or redesign drawings and layouts based on verbal or written specifications that adhere to company and industry standards * Draw, specify and notate FFE both in drawings and in specification schedule * Draw millwork shop drawings per vendor direction * Read, comprehend and correct 2D and 3D drawings. * Processes CAD draw requests and change orders, by preparing, collecting, and reviewing required documents * Communicates effectively with Team Members, Clients, and Vendors. * Maintains and tracks project schedules and deadlines * Understands the construction budget and how it pertains to the CAD design * Existing conditions documentation * Production of Scope of Work and Basic Costing Skills, Knowledge and Expertise * Results oriented and flexible; takes action as soon as need arises and can demonstrate positive results; steadily follows through on tasks; absorbs and applies new information quickly * Good at visualizing how to build markets, scale them appropriately to achieve a remarkable client experience.
