Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Vice President Education This is a .4 FTE Position * Please include your current resume for consideration* Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, the Vice President of Education is a member of the executive leadership team and responsible for ensuring educational excellence across the health system. This position oversees the implementation and evaluation of educational programs and services that enhance the clinical learning environment for Nebraska Medicine colleagues, physicians, advanced practice providers, and learners. The Vice President of Education works closely with Nebraska Medicine's leadership team, clinical departments, academic partners, and external stakeholders to ensure that the health system's educational goals and standards are aligned with its mission, vision, values, and clinical practice. The Vice President of Education works closely with key leaders to ensure that Nebraska Medicine educational programs promote an environment that is supportive of the clinical learning environment. Required Qualifications: * Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent degree required. * Board Certification or equivalent required. * Active medical license in Nebraska or eligibility for such at time of consideration required. * Has a record of accomplishments in patient care, education, and research to qualify for academic appointment at the UNMC College of Medicine required. * A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in health care education, preferably in a medical school and/or academic medical center required. * Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in adult learning principles, curriculum development, instructional design, evaluation methods, and educational technology as they apply to the clinical learning environment required. * Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of learners, educators, clinicians, administrators, and external partners required. * Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead and manage change and innovation in the clinical learning environment required. * High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism, with a commitment to the hospital's mission, vision, values, and clinical practice required. Preferred Qualifications * This role does not include an academic or clinical appointment. * Current appointment with UNMC College of Medicine preferred.
