Job Title: Assistant Superintendent Job Description One of the top general contractors in the Hampton Roads area is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team at Newport News Shipyard. This project will involve the complete build of a ship garage and will be one of many projects the right candidate will contribute to. Excellent listening and verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent with a general contractor. Hard Skills * Oversee and help manage other staff members on the project * 2+ years as an Assistant Superintendent for a general contractor * Federal experience (a nice to have but not required) * Help manage and coordinate all trade partners and subcontractors * Experience on projects in the $10M-$20M range (a plus) Soft Skills * Excellent listening skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Newport News, Virginia.
