Join us and play an important part on our incredible team! This position runs from October 1, 2024 and ends January 6, 2025. Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the season. In order to be fully considered for this role, you must complete an application and attend one of the auditions below. Audition Details: Date: Wednesday, August 14, 2024 Time: 8:30am Check in with a 9:00am audition OR 5:30pm Check in with a 6:00pm audition Location: SeaWorld Orlando - 7007 SeaWorld Drive All Applicants will come through the main toll plaza and let the parking attendant know you are here for an entertainment audition at Ports of Call. Park in the main SeaWorld parking and go to the Ports of Call gate. Audition Requirements: Please bring a headshot and resume Sign in begins a half hour prior to call time, please do not arrive prior to half hour to your scheduled time as you will not be allowed on property. Prepare for Audition: Please prepare 16-32 bars of an upbeat pop style Christmas song, or a Christmas gospel song that shows your range, energy, and personality. An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music (no recordings). Also be prepared to perform a short movement combination. What you get to do: SeaWorld Orlando is looking for singers who move well as well as dancers to perform in the upcoming O Wondrous Night Christmas Celebration Show at Nautilus Theatre. Seasonal roles will be filled as part of our Christmas Celebration. Dates for the show are November 8-10, November 15-17, November 22-December 1, December 6-8, & December 13-January 6, 2025. We are looking for candidates to have open availability during these timeframes. What it takes to succeed: * Personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personality * Ability to openly accept performance feedback/critiques and adapt accordingly * Ability to work in indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and temperature while performing in a character costume * Ability to stand for long periods of time * Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds * Availability to work varying shifts and hours based on business needs; available to work opening, mid, closing, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as after hour rehearsals * Ability to move and dance in full costume at a standard consistent with creative intent * Ability to maintain character integrity * Willingness to participate in regular internal performance assessments * Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed * Perform the following physical activities, kneeling, bending, squatting, jumping, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing) * Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes.
