JobTitle: Print Shop Assistant Dept/School: Technology Services Pay Grade: Clerical/Paraprofessional Primary Purpose: Responsible for providing multiple copy services for the district. Coordinate outsourcing of print jobs when required Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Proficient skills operating and maintaining copiers and duplicators Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a courteous and positive manner Basic math skills Experience: One to two years of experience copying documents or in a similar environment Essential Job Functions: * Schedule the printing of materials as requested by campuses and administrative offices. Determine priority; some items have absolute deadlines. * Submit print jobs for outsourcing when necessary. * Operate and maintain all printing/copying equipment. * Maintain inventory of paper and operating supplies to assure smooth and continuous operation of the Copy Room. * Clean equipment as needed. * Analyze equipment for routine breakdowns and preventative maintenance. Call service when needed. * Assist in the process of assessing new equipment, evaluating equipment under consideration, and present "findings". * Follow safety rules and procedures. * Perform meter readings for all copiers as needed or required. * Maintain confidential information. * Report to work in a timely manner according to assigned schedule. * Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position.
