Culture Evangelist - Non-Exempt
The Culture Evangelist at Profound Technologies is responsible for planning and promoting events for the team, upholding company culture, and building relationships with employees. This individual acts as the liaison between the employees and owners, allowing the owners to have valuable insight on how best to meet the needs of the employees on an individual basis, while maintaining the company's "small company" atmosphere.
Part of this liaison role includes communicating with the Department Heads and acting as a representative of the team's feedback and concerns. This role is designed to enrich the employees' lives through programs, events, and personal and professional development. The Culture Evangelist works strategically to ensure that the employees are committed to the company, enthusiastic about their jobs, and feel supported as valued team members.
Reporting Hierarchy
Direct Supervisor: CEO
Tasks
Plans new hire orientations including schedule creation, assembling orientation materials for new hires and instructors, and performing introductory training Introduces new employees to the team and company culture Administers the planning of all employee events including, but not limited to company retreat (Vision Day), holiday parties, fundraisers, and department get-togethers, etc. Coordinates classes on personal growth items (finance, leadership, life skills, etc) Manages an event's calendar 60-90 days in advance Coordinates meaningful activities, so that the time is allocated, valued, and brings the team together. Organically gets to know individuals on a personal level Coordinates mental and physical health options/training Makes sure the amenities are stocked with popular snacks, coffee, etc. Creates care packages for remote employees and field employees Conducts regular meetings or check-ins to build relationships with employees, understand their interests, and enforce company culture and vision. Promotes recognition so that each employee feels like a valued member of their team and company. Communicates with department heads/liaisons to check in on team members, understand any areas of conflict, and look for areas of improvement Contributes to the company newsletter through offering ideas, conducting team interviews, and providing employee spotlight/summaries Manages suggestions, complaints, and feedback from employees Organizes birthday, anniversary, and special occasion cards and gifts Complies with all aspects of confidentiality Develops training materials and facilitate internal training for various departments Explains regulations, policies, or procedures Trains personnel to enhance job skills Work Activities

Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Actively looking for ways to help people. Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Teaching others how to do something. Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences. Managing one's own time and the time of others. Determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures. Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; and the employee is frequently required to lift up to 10 pounds; and up to 25 pounds with assistance.

- Using a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the information. Graphics - Working with pictures in graphics programs or other applications, including creating simple graphics, manipulating the appearance, and inserting graphics into other programs. Internet - Navigating the Internet to find information, including the ability to open and configure standard browsers; use searches, hypertext references, and transfer protocols; and send and retrieve electronic mail (e-mail). Navigation - Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer's operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest. Presentations - Using a computer application to create, manipulate, edit, and show virtual slide presentations. Spreadsheets - Using a computer application to enter, manipulate, and format text and numerical data; insert, delete, and manipulate cells, rows, and columns; and create and save worksheets, charts, and graphs.
