Our work depends on Information Systems Manager joining our team to lead teams of IT professionals to maintain our organization's computer systems and technology needs, as well as lead these respective Teams in the design, plan, and build of communications networks. An Information Systems Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing computer-related activities in an organization. They work with the primary customer, and team leaders to determine the customer's technology needs and implement and maintain the systems that support those needs. HOW AN INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT * Identifying hardware and software options that can benefit the company, and recommending upgrades to existing systems * Handling technical problems for the company and its employees, often under tight timelines to avoid system * Hiring and training IT professionals, such as support specialists, network engineers, IT analysts and technicians, to work as members of the IT department * Delegating repair and installation requests among employees * Creating long-term schedules to determine when to update company computer systems and cybersecurity measures * Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds or other network monitoring tools) * Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems * Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned * Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, etc.) * Drafting informational documents to help employees troubleshoot standard computer problems and navigate new programs * Meeting with IT directors and other upper-management staff to propose ideas and relay information to the IT department * Recommending and implementing new software programs and computer technologies that support organizational goals and objectives WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Information Technology related field or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
