Quality Assurance Analyst 1 Harris School Solutions - Remote Quality Analyst Role: * Develop and provide quality assurance testing of product releases, verify technical impact of those releases, and investigate all completed development to ensure deliverables meet client specifications before solutions are provided to our clients. * Perform standard functional, application, regression testing and de-bugging tasks according to established processes. * Perform manual testing. Investigate and report defects in clear, concise language. * Read, understand and interpret development stories, functional requirements, and statements of work. Design and create test data to validate these requirements. * Serve as customer advocate by ensuring that identified issues are addressed and resolved to deliver a quality product for our customers. * Work closely with development team and contribute to adoption of agile/SCRUM within Development and QA. * Report the progress of and manage the resolution of defects found through phases of the software development life cycle to both the development team and QA Manager. * Function as a strong team player capable of working seamlessly with developers, Product Management, Sales, PS, QA and Tech Support and provide leadership in support of QA team goals and objectives. * Work with the Product Owner to validate and verify backlog issues. * Work with QA across multiple product lines and divisions to research, review and implement QA processes/best practices to benefit the end product. Qualifications Skills: * Solid understanding of Quality Assurance practices. * Strong manual testing skills. * Experience with various QA related tools * Working knowledge of SQL Server is a plus. * Knowledge of Development Process & SQA Methodology including Agile. * Automated test experience and scripting ability is a plus. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to communicate/document issues to development/product and drive issues to an ultimate resolution. * Quality focused and strong advocate for customer satisfaction * Self-directed individual who can work with minimal supervision. Experience: * Minimum 2-3 years experience in a Software Quality Assurance role * Experience writing high quality, clear, and detailed test cases and defect reports. * Experience with fund accounting and/or school districts is a plus. * Familiar with Agile Development methodologies.
