OverviewSummary of Responsibilities:The PMO Governance & Reporting Intern will report to the Project Management Office (PMO) and work closely with the program managers, project managers, business analysts, portfolio team, and PMO leadership to assist with the management and successful delivery of strategic projects for Western & Southern Financial Group.ResponsibilitiesPosition Responsibilities: Assist the PMO Governance & Reporting team by supporting their efforts to manage active programs and projects by managing schedules and tasks for deliverables which support the PMO Participation in PMO Governance & Reporting team deliverables in support of Portfolio Governance Committee monthly meetings Works well in a team environment Responsible for independent deliverables as needed Supports facilitation of meetings, activities, training assistance, and general PMO work as deemed necessary by the PMO Governance & Reporting Sr. Manager and PMO Governance & Reporting team members Performs other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsSelection Criteria: Basic understanding of Microsoft suite of tools Strong problem solving/analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good time management and organizational skills Ability to quickly grasp new assignments and tasks Ability to apply academic knowledge, such as analysis, writing, and documentation to work situations in a practical manner Ability to work in a team setting Ability to multitask and manage priorities Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement Ability to learn and understand Western & Southern Financial Group program and project management processes as part of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) Ability to perform basic tasks on time and accurately as assigned by the PMO Governance & Reporting Sr. Manager and PMO Governance & Reporting teamWork Setting: This position works in an office setting and remains in a continuous stationary position for long periods while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires substantial movement of wrists, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.Educational Requirements: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree-seeking program with a major in Business (emphasis Project Management), Information Technology, Computer Science, or related.Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required: This position works in an office setting and remains in a continuous stationary position for long periods while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires substantial movement of wrists, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.): None required.
