General Description $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Scheduled Hours: 37.5 hours a week * Monday - Friday (8am - 4pm) with 1 day until 5pm * No Call * No Nights * No Weekends Making a career choice in the (MAT) Medication Assisted Treatment program gives you an opportunity to be a part of the success in addiction.Providing medication and behavioral therapies to those struggling with addiction will increase the chance of their recovery. The MAT program provides a chance for the clinician to practice autonomy in choosing therapeutic interventions and group topics that are most beneficial to this population. Here, we provide a "whole patient" approach to managing substance use disorders and therefore get the chance to collaborate with other agencies and resources to provide the best care. The Senior Therapists in the Lake County Health Department Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Adult Substance Abuse Program is an integral part of our treatment team, which includes medical staff, to provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services. In this role, Senior Therapists are responsible for providing direct addiction counseling services, assessments/intakes, and group facilitation. Essential Functions * Provides direct services to clients in MAT including individual and group therapy. * Performsinitialevaluationsandassessmentsofpotentialclientsregardingtheirappropriatenessfor participationin theprogram. * Maintainsappropriate documentation and record-keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations. * Participates as an interdisciplinary team member to facilitate the best patient experience and positive clinical outcome. * Facilitateswithclientsandcollaborateswiththetreatmentteam todevelop,reviewandupdate treatmentgoalsandreferralsbothinternallyandexternally. * Demonstrate knowledge and use of ASAM and DSM-5. * Consultswiththesupervisorregardingtransfer/placementof aclienttoanotherlevelofservice,as needed. * Organizes and participates in treatment-related clinical conferences and staffing's on assigned clients. * Conductscrisisintervention/evaluation/referraltopersonswhopresentthemselvesattheprogram. * Maintains regular contact with an active caseload. * Provides education and direction to clients, family members and/or significant others. Knowledge Skills Abilities and Education Required * Master's degree in a related field required. * Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
