Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical/Secretary - 12-Months Date Posted: 9/9/2024 Location: District Office Date Available: When Filled   Additional Information: Show/Hide Park County School District 6 Executive Administrative Assistant - Superintendent/Board of Trustees Full-Time, Benefited Position - 260 Days Salary Range: $21.65 - $31.15 This job reports to Superintendent Purpose Statement The job of Executive Administrative Assistant - Superintendent/Board of Trustees is done for the purpose/s of providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Superintendent and Board; communicating information on behalf of Superintendent to school and system staff, other school systems, public agencies, etc.; ensuring compliance of Superintendent's office and Board activities with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and acting as liaison between the Superintendent and staff and the public to provide information. Essential Functions Other Functions Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including using job related software applications; performing standard bookkeeping; preparing and maintaining accurate records; administering first aid and/or prescribed medications; applying job-related codes, regulations and laws; planning and managing projects; promoting activities and/or events; and screening telephone calls. KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: accounting/bookkeeping principles; business telephone etiquette; concepts of grammar and punctuation; safety practices and procedures; age appropriate activities; job-related codes/laws/rules/regulations/policies; keyboarding; knowledge of community resources; office equipment and technology; and recordkeeping and record retention practices. ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with similar types of data; and utilize job-related equipment. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team; working with frequent interruptions; displaying tact and courtesy; multitasking; organizing tasks; and working with detailed information/data. Responsibility Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; tracking budget expenditures. Utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is some opportunity to significantly impact the organization's services. Work Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 90% sitting, 5% walking, and 5% standing. The job is performed under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Education: High School diploma or equivalent; targeted job related education with study in job-related area.
