Job Title Assessment and Data Coordinator Agency Texas A&M University Department Dept Of Recreational Sports Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description What we want We're seeking an Assessment and Data Coordinator to oversee assessment activity and data collection within the Department of Recreational Sports. You will help with assessment design and assessment implementation within the department, as well as analysis and reporting. This position also oversees the departmental inventory process and represents the department on multiple departmental and division committees, including the Division of Student Affairs assessment team, departmental assessment committee, and informational technology liaison for the department. The mission of the Department of Recreational Sports is to promote activity, wellness, and development by providing high quality, comprehensive experiences and facilities for the students and community of Texas A&M University. What you need to know Salary Range: $46,900 - $60,500/Annually (commensurate to selected candidate's experience). Essential Duties/Tasks Assessment/ Data Management - Responsible for the overall planning and coordination of activities required for departmental, VPSA, and campus-wide assessment efforts. Oversees departmental compliance with accreditation requirements by coordinating departmental and program level assessment plans in support of external accountability and internal improvement efforts (AEFIS). Works with internal stakeholders to determine assessment needs and the most effective assessment method/instrument needed to gather data and achieve project goals. Assists in the research and evaluation of new programs and initiatives on an as-needed basis. Supports student employment initiatives by promoting, implementing, and assessing High Impact Practices and Student Learning Outcomes and other data collection focused on recruitment and retention efforts. Works with department staff to ensure data collection and dissemination is a consideration when planning new projects or enhancing current systems. Contributes to the development of systemic tools resulting in metrics used to drive department decisions. Develops meaningful analytic conclusions and recommends innovative solutions related to data collected. Maintains accountability for datasets and methods. Data Reporting - Serves as a central location for all external survey responses and information requests. Disseminates departmental information to appropriate stakeholders, including department staff and the Division of Student Affairs. Develops periodic reports as needed. Works with Marketing & Communications to ensure that information for annual reports is accurate. Prepares weekly participation and Quarterly Compliance Reports. Creates departmental reports for the Division and Board of Regents as required. Asset Management - Conducts annual inventory of all Departmental Assets, which require University Asset numbers. Conducts the annual Chemical Inventory as required by the University. Departmental Mission Duties - Serve on national, university, divisional, and departmental committees as needed. Assist in establishing long and short-term goals of the department. Attend local, state, and national workshops and conferences, host and present at various workshops. Maintain positive relationships within department, other university departments, community, and vendors. Assist other university staff members as requested. Interact with students, faculty, and staff for the benefit of carrying out the mission of the department. Information Technology and Committees - Serves as departmental liaison to Technology Resources and consult on Information technology budgetary issues. Maintains laptop and computer inventory. Represents the department on multiple departmental and division committees, including the DSA assessment team, departmental assessment committee, and informational technology liaison for the department. Other committee assignments as assigned. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in a related field required. * Two years of related experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Highly effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language. * Strong teaching/presentation skills with knowledge of industry best practices. * Proficiency in basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in a related field. * Five years of related experience. Why Texas A&M University?
