Videos Help Duties This position is being readvertised to reflect the physical demand, work environment, ability to lift 100 pounds, and driver's license Position Description (PD) change. As a Videographer, GS-0301-12, you will perform the following major duties: Plans, coordinates, and executes a wide variety of visual information projects to communicate agency messaging. Serves as videographer and Photographer for Internal and external agency events, including investigation launches. Serves as Division contact to consult with project managers, program managers, and others to develop a mutual understanding of the objectives of video and still photography usage for product development. Launches as a member of the Go-Team for SRC. Captures video and still photos of the launch and investigative activity, in consultation with the Investigator-In-Charge (IIC), provides technical support for press briefings and press conferences, ensures that press briefings are recorded, edited and posted to the agency video channel (s). Physical Demands: The work includes occasional solo travel to accident scenes which requires extensive walking, standing, bending, crouching, etc. The incumbent must be available for occasional deployment to transportation accident sites, which may include exposure to long hours in austere environments. Work Environment: Work is primarily sedentary and performed in an office environment. However, transportation accidents may require the incumbent to be exposed to a variety of weather conditions and other environmental discomforts, unforgiving topography, and debris hazards. Also, while risk assessments are made, appropriate mitigation measures taken, and personal protective equipment used, there remains the possibility of exposure to poisonous, explosive, or other hazardous materials associated with the accident sites to which the agency deploys. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GS-12 LEVEL: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience is defined as: (1) Operating audiovisual equipment to provide support to organizational events. (2) Maintaining a diversified range of audiovisual equipment. (3) Providing video streaming support for various organizations. (4) Performing a variety of duties associated with video productions. (5) Experience using industry-standard software to create professional audiovisual products, and using music libraries, stock footage, and postproduction services, to acquire the elements needed for an audiovisual production. (6) Experience managing the set-up and operations of audiovisual recording equipment.
