The children in these classrooms are ages 12m to 24months old. Teacher: Child ratio is 1:4. IMMEDIATE OPENING! Qualifications MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED * 12 core unit classes with a grade of C or better are required. ( child development, child-family-community, curriculum) * 3 units in Infant/Toddler are required. * Work experience in a licensed childcare facility as a teacher. * Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality. * Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency (Title 22) including immunization, health screening,finger-printing and background check * Must be able to lift up 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies. Job Responsibilities: * Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children in a teacher * Teachers should be able to assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis * The teacher provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children * The teacher ensures that all class bulletin boards are current and provides the parents with an overview of the material taught in class * Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds * Assists and coordinates snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities * Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director * Observe all rules and regulations about the health, safety, and care of children * Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times * Plans with Education Coach and implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials * Plans with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations * Performs other duties as assigned. * Able to work on iPad to log children's daily activities.
