This position reports directly to the Head Men's Basketball Coach and is responsible for leading assigned areas of video and film operation efforts for the university's men's basketball program. About the Work Unit Vanderbilt University's Athletics Department prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life by placing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship and victory. Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference's only private school. The university fields 17 varsity teams, 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference. Duties and Responsibilities * Oversee assigned daily functions of video/film operations in the Men's Basketball office * Coordinate film exchange with opponents * Prepare video content for cut-ups, breakdown and distribution to the Men's Basketball staff * Oversee any designated student managers assisting with filming and video support * Maintain video servers and related equipment * Create video content upon request for recruiting and promotional purposes * Assist with production of team intro videos, social media clips, and SEC Network content * Assist Director of Communications for Men's Basketball with video footage needed for communications purposes (e.g. Signing Day) * Provide assistance for Men's Basketball special events as needed * Various travel responsibilities for road games as needed * Other duties as assigned by the Head Men's Basketball Coach Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree is required. * A Master's degree is preferred. * Knowledge of basketball editing software (Sportscode, XOS Digital, DV Sport, etc.) is necessary. * Strong video editing experience (Final Cut Pro, AVID, Adobe Premiere) is necessary. * Graphic Design experience (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects) is preferred. * Prior basketball experience is necessary. * Excellent computer skills * Great communication skills * Team Player Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion At Vanderbilt University, we are intentional about and assume accountability for fostering advancement and respect for equity, diversity, and inclusion for all students, faculty, and staff.
