Basic Function * Note: This is a part time job working no more than 17 hours a week with no benefits.* Under the direction of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Dept. Coordinator; the Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating gymnastic classes at City facilities. The Gymnastics Instructor will plan, implement, lead, and evaluate classes for community members who have registered for the class. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Class design and set up * Instruct in a group setting where gymnastic abilities vary * Lead members through effective and SAFE gymnastic classes * Play an active role in the future growth of gymnastic programs * Ensure the safety of the class participants by paying special attention to technique and proper form. * Maintain an environment of teamwork and promote in helping our program grow. * Promote personal goal attainment for participants * Ability to tailor instruction to various health conditions Education and Experience Qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years of age * Minimum of 1 year experience teaching gymnastic classes * Ability to take initiative, make sound decisions, and trouble shoot problematic situations in an independent manner. * ValidWashington Statedriver's license * Responsible for own transportation to and from various job sites. * Ability to successfully pass WSP Background check
