The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital is looking for an Inpatient Pediatric Senior Physical Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings. This position will primarily be assigned to the pediatric inpatient acute care setting within the NICU and PICU units. * Provide quality patient care, evaluation, assessment, and treatment appropriate for patient's needs. Assignment will primarily be in the NICU/PICU setting but may also include general pediatrics. * Evaluate and instruct patients in home treatment programs. * Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner. * Participate in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommend opportunities for improvement in service quality. * Attend and participate in educational programs and provide educational experiences as assigned. * Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the public. * Performs special projects and tasks as assigned. * Collaboration and Embracing Diversity: Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. * Positive Impact/Achieving Results: Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs. Click here Required Qualifications: * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor's degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required. * 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital and/or early intervention setting with a high degree of understanding and skill working with a pediatric population. * Demonstrated commitment to patient and family-centered care. * Demonstrated clinical education abilities and leadership. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Licenses/ Certifications: * Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required. Desirable Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist. * 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following patient care specialties in acute care or outpatient setting: NICU, PICU, and/or experience in early intervention. * Specialized training related to infant development and/or certification in neonatal therapy. * Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting Application Process: To be considered, applicants must upload a resume and cover letter (under submission relevant materials) that clearly address how they meet the listed required and desired qualifications of this position.
