We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team! The primary function of the Accounts Payable Specialist is to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate payment of vendor invoices. In order to do this effectively, this individual will liaise with sales support team members, sales representatives, vendors, and Accounting Staff. The A/P Specialist reports to the Accounts Payable Manager. Essential Functions * Process high-volume invoices from vendors, including prepayments and credit card payments * Effectively collaborate with immediate team members, supervisor, and other departments on a regular basis to answer general questions, resolve issues, and ensure accurate payments * Reconciliation of monthly vendor statements * Validate correct coding on invoices and match to purchase order(s) * Perform backup functions such as payments, including checks and ACH transfers * Assist with T&E policy and employee expense report review * Assist with audit requests as needed * Understanding of basic accounting knowledge to include debits, credits and GL coding * Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize the risk of errors or fraud * Excellent customer service skills Job Specifications * Minimum 1-year experience in A/P and customer service-related role * High school diploma or equivalent * Must possess fundamental knowledge of GAAP, understanding of general ledgers, and strong math proficiency * Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with others both written and verbally * Must possess high attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize items * Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (incl.
