What You Will Be Doing: Special Assistant 2 (Legislative Liaison) to the Commissioner of the Department of Administration acts as a key point of contact between the department and state legislators, ensuring smooth communication on policy matters. This role involves tracking legislative activities, analyzing bills, and advising the Commissioner on legislative priorities and impacts. Additionally, the position coordinates with stakeholders to support the department's agenda and initiatives. The position involves preparing and analyzing fiscal financial notes, providing accurate assessments of the financial impact of proposed policies, and ensuring compliance with budgetary and regulatory standards. Special Note: This is an appointed position; therefore, the Special Assistant serves at the pleasure of the Commissioner. Minimum Qualifications Positions in this job class are in the partially exempt service in accordance with AS 39.25.120(c)(6).
