DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time, exempt, position that reports to the Head of Schools. This Interim position is for a 6-12 month term.

You are a School Director with a passion for learning and innovation. You are a mission-driven leader and are committed to upholding AchieveKids' values and beliefs to help students achieve the maximum possible self-reliance and quality of life. You recognize that multi-disciplinary collaboration is critical in a school's program development, administration, and operations. You are efficient and effective in planning, implementing, and evaluating services. You strive to meet the needs of complex learners with your positive perspectives and strength-based advocacy. You are dedicated to supporting students' transition to less restrictive environments and in finding success within their communities.

QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Master's degree in Education or related field, required or in progress 2 years of experience as an educator or a school administrator Strong educational and managerial background in an academic environment, providing service to children, adolescents, and their families. Cultivate and promote a culture of inclusion and life-long learning for staff and students. Experience working with families and supporting youth with severe behavioral, developmental, and emotional difficulties in community settings. Be an expert in basic behavioral management, and have knowledge of child abuse reporting laws. Coordinate State Department of Education school certification process, including annual and triennial reviews. Drive the process of large-scale curriculum direction from research, development and acquisition of curriculum materials to meet the needs of each class. Determine appropriate placement of incoming students and collaborate with Intake Coordinator to determine suitability of potential student referrals. Foster and model an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, respect and hard work. Possess strong mentorship and leadership skills to supervise team's performance and effectiveness, as well as promote professional development. Valid California Driver's License and Clean California DMV record required TB Clearance DOJ Background check clearance PAY RANGE

The salary range for this position is $103,000 - $118,000 per year. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, location, business needs, market demand, and internal equity. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This range represents base salary only and one aspect of the total rewards package.
