The successful candidate will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA. Primary Responsibilities: * Use network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs) and fiber power meters. * Analyze, administer, and maintain telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure. * Dress, terminate and test cables and components * Ability to work with power tools and ladders * Test, locate, install, and repair cabling infrastructure associated with trouble calls, and perform routine maintenance * Install, maintain, and repair voice and data communications systems * Identify, track, and remove abandoned cable, and keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards * Communicate effectively across team of varying experience levels and with customer leadership Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. * Demonstrated experience in telecommunications * Cable Technician experience within the DoD * Certification in Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable Installation * Active Secret Clearance * Familiarity with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards. * Ability to analyze and solve problems, with keen attention to detail Original Posting Date: 2024-08-30 While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above. Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
