Job Title Senior Producer Job Description I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Senior Producer works closely with the Executive Producer and Producers on story planning and coordination, identifies newsworthy stories, oversees the editorial planning process and maintains a master calendar for all future shows and specials, assigns talent to shoots, works with on-air talent for schedules and content, approves story pitches, checks scripts and fact checks, provides day to day direction and management to the staff, facilitates and evangelizes the Executive Producer's vision/needs for the shows that are produced, builds and maintains strong industry contacts/connection, and serves as a liaison between the show, magazine, special projects, and websites. II. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 30% Planning and editorial production 30% Overseeing and verifying work of producers 30% Executing the brand 10% Building internal and external relationships, and other duties as assigned III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism or communications, related field or equivalent training and/or experience. Experience: Minimum 10 years experience producing a nationally syndicated television show. Must have line producing experience with script writing and editorial experience preferred. For further information about the E-Verify program, please click here: https://www.e-verify.gov/employees Pay Range Salary: California: $87,700.00 - $103,740.00 The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
