Senior Optical Engineering opportunity in San Diego, CA Description: * Develop processes used in the assembly of opto-electronic products * Interact with suppliers, subcontractors and contract manufacturers * Define and conduct Design of Experiments * Generate SOW and detailed project plans for new process development * Improve, monitor, and report manufacturing process health using statistical analysis methods and software i.e DOE, Gage R&R, JMP, Minitab * Experience with common packaging processes such as Die Attach, Wire bonding, and adhesives Skills: optical manufacturing, optoelectronics, process improvement, statistical analysis, micro-optics, project planning, die attach, wire bonding Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related scientific discipline Experience in: * Process Improvement * failure modes and effects analysis * Reliability of packages and the impact of packaging on device reliability What puts you ahead: * Understand key aspects of packaging opto-electronic devices * Six-Sigma, Lean manufacturing certification * Familiarity with micro-optics About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
