DuraServ's continued double-digit growth necessitates a strong professional Safety & Maintenance Specialist supporting our Proprietary Brands. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will lead the Safety function supporting plant/facility maintenance planning (Preventative & Predictive), and safely executing repairs. The Safety and Maintenance Coordinator will support the strategic and tactical focus around critical safety programs and initiatives within the division and organization. A change agent for process, system improvement, and technology integration; and developing and administering policies and procedures, for DuraFlex, Support and championing DuraFlex Culture and Values. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. * Assists in ensuring compliance with all safe work practices, regulatory stands (EPA, DOT, OSHA, etc.), and plant policies and procedures. * Provide regulatory and technical process support to existing and new equipment to include LOTO, JSA's * Drives and conducts training for all EHS&S activities at the site, including development, implementation, and documentation as defined by the compliance schedule by various means - in-person, computer-based training, and group sessions. Etc. * Ensure compliance with all regulatory inspections as they pertain to the sites and audits to identify potential safety/regulatory risks & lead mitigation. * Under limited supervision, set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality. * Develop an AM & PM schedule for production equipment and facilities and perform preventative maintenance to ensure uptime * Provide support to the engineering team with recommendations for capital appropriations and project completion. * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * (K) Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards * (S) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * (A) Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. * (A) Ability to conduct training sessions. * (A) Excellent organizational skills and diligence * (A) Ability to effectively communicate professionally via formal written and oral means to all levels of management. * (S) Comfortable with leading repairs, troubleshooting maintenance problems, and assisting in new building projects. * (A) Must be an initiative-taker, independent contributor, and have the ability to prioritize and problem-solve daily workload to complement the completion of projects as assigned. * (K) Capable of completing routine preventative maintenance and leading facility repair activities * (S) Fully proficient with, and capable of operating power and hand tools * (S) Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to establish working relationships quickly and effectively. * (S) Organizational skills Leadership Competencies At DuraServ, the following competencies are essential for success in the job: Action Oriented ● Communicates Effectively ● Customer Focus ● Decision Quality ● Drives Results ● Ensures Accountability ● Instills Trust ● Self-Development Supervisory Responsibilities * This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment and Physical Demands * In Office / Warehouse / Manufacturing / Plant setting * Prolonged periods of standing or sitting along with repetitive movements throughout the entire shift * Must be able to lift up to and/or move materials up to 50 pounds at times * Ergonomics, Lifting, Bending, Pushing, Pulling Travel * This job requires 10% planned business travel. * Education and Experience * High School graduation or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor's degree, preferred. * A Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment * Experience in troubleshooting and performing repairs (AM & PM) to production and facilities equipment. * Experience leading/driving safety in a manufacturing environment * Prior experience managing multiple projects and priorities. * Proficiency in CAD software is a plus. * An initiative-taking, multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic.
