Seniority Level: Primary purpose and function of position: Reporting to the Brewery Manager, you will be accountable for Utility services to the operational departments, Brewery Energy and Fluid performance, Engineering Maintenance Costs, Delegated CAPEX spend and the owner of the Maintenance Pillar. This job description and the job title Technical Services Manager is not necessarily descriptive of all duties and does not restrict flexibility. You may be required, from time to time, to carry out tasks in addition to or instead of your normal duties, either for the Company or for AB InBev, provided that they are reasonable and within your capabilities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Deployment of new and existing operating practices across the department * Ensures support to department operational performance through daily, weekly and monthly KPI generation and VPO methodology * Accountable for utilities services to operation departments to support GLY targets * Accountable for the Engineering Stores performance * Accountable for brewery Automation Standards * Responsible for system integration and cyber security for the brewery * Ensures optimization for Energy & Fluids usage * Defines the strategic plan for Utilities operations * Leads improvement initiatives. * Works with Process Engineer(s) to oversee projects within the department(s) * Ensures compliance with corporate standards within department(s) * Supports department in problem solving using VPO tools * Interfaces with equipment and material suppliers in co-ordination with Zone Brewery Support (ZBS) * Follows up on innovation activities from the team/Zone * Supports continuous improvement and root cause analysis processes * Drives the identification and implementation of improvement plans as reviewed during the daily, weekly and monthly meetings processes * Manages the delivery of reports of all relevant team KPI's as defined through the MCRS process e.g. Maintenance, ZBB, energy & fluids, services & utilities etc. * Celebrates success - works collaboratively to develop appropriate recognition policies for the site * Actively seeks feedback and monitor progress against plans * Defines the skills profiles and training plans for the Utilities department * Ensures the effective management and delivery of all department and team briefings * Manages relationship with unions and department where appropriate * Owner of the Brewery Asset register Control of cost and budget * Prepares and manages the Breweries Energy & Fluids and Maintenance budgets and is accountable for cost optimization * Manages the capital projects budgets for the brewery, co-ordinating all submission requests and allocation of funds through to project completion * Manages the implementation of strategic concepts to reduce costs and increase service levels * Partners with other business functions in negotiations concerning contracts and projects * Ensures accuracy of all monthly reporting and performance. * Accountable for Maintenance CWC for the brewery Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and compliance to standards * Ensures all activities are in adherence to SLA and local governance * Develops and promotes safe working practices * Ensures compliance with all company and legal obligations, including Pressure systems and L8 * Ensures continuous improvement to consumption of energy and utilities within department * Manages appropriate SLA's to ensure quality standards and specifications are maintained * Ensures area maintenance shops and surrounding areas are maintained * Manages ES for area according to ES guidelines Key Skills, Knowledge & Competencies: * Ensures effective management of challenging industrial relations issues * Ensures effective management of significant change issues * Contributes excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques and project management principles * Ensures successful delivery of process improvement initiatives * Ensures effective management of a complex large department including department performance management. * Acts as a role model for the ten principles ensure that the culture within the department is aligned to the ten principles * Sound knowledge of the maintenance process * Strong organisation skills using a highly structured and systematic approach to delivering business solutions to deadlines through VPO methodology * Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize workload effectively * Strong influencer, able to challenge management and staff where appropriate * Charismatic and dynamic, someone who will walk the floor and talk openly to staff, able to motivate and communicate effectively * Highly results focused, and with a strong attention to detail * Commercially aware, and able to understand budgets * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Highly structured and systematic approach to delivering business solutions * Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers Key Experience and Qualifications: * 3 years experience managing a multi-disciplined engineering function * 5 years Production and Utilities experience in a management role * Experience managing significant changes issues * Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques * Strong record of delivering process improvement * Knowledge of project management principles * Experience managing complex large departments * Engineering qualification
