"This position is responsible for providing support for all technologies in a Distributed environment. Identifies, troubleshoots, and remediates issues that arise, ownership of all IT building related incidents. Follows standard ITSM policies and procedures. Monitors system activity to ensure the availability and performance of all Kohl's IT business services, and will provide timely, accurate and on-call systems maintenance, support and enhancements. Installs and upgrades software and hardware. Monitors and troubleshoots system performance. Develops and runs related automation scripts and reporting tools. Self driven, prioritizes daily tasks and identifies weekly work goals." PROVIDES TIMELY AND SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR SEMI-COMPLEX HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE SYSTEMS * Executes tasks comprising non-routine projects/ processes/workflows * Contributes to the design and implementation of systems and processes collaborating with SRE, BT or Corp Project teams. * Understands the integration of system components; learns new concepts and quickly trains others on them * Develops knowledge of the system process in order to apply solutions and recommendations to hardware and software * Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts * Develops and implements policies, procedures, and standards * Ensures development of comprehensive support tools during the application development process. * Analyzes various systems and determines whether issues are user, procedural, environmental, local, global or systemic. * Creates automation of system monitoring, recovery, and optimization processes. * Provides all levels of technical support on all systems and processes (engaging SRE, BT, or other Corp/Vendor teams as needed). * Plays a supporting role in incident response. * Understands golden signals and observability * Works to eliminate toil by automating repetitive issues, self serviceability, etc. * Reduce risks by simplifying ecosystem * Participates in IRs and blameless retros. REQUIRED * Has 3+ years of experience in performance of technical tasks * Associates degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field technical support experience PREFERRED * Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field * Retail experience SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS * Provide after-hours support as required * Increased opportunities for responsibility, like SME
