This role will lead the engineering team in the development of recreational vehicles through all phases, from conceptual development and planning through final documentation and the delivery of exceptional quality products. The team functions include Product Engineering, PMO, R&D, Applications Development, and Interior design. Day to Day of the Role: * Establishes an engineering team structure with clear roles and responsibilities which focuses the team on their priorities * Partners with leaders of the business formulating product strategies that drive product innovation in design, materials, and manufacturing processes * Leads the discovery, development, and evaluation of new product ideas, enhancements, and converts findings into useable and marketable products in collaboration with the business' executive team * Drives project management execution and process improvements to support the delivery of expected results. * Oversees the planning and tracking of all phases of the product life cycle * Leads the collaboration with other functions of the business and enterprise engineering teams in developing detailed plans for new designs and products * Sets short and long-range plans that support the development of products * Determines the engineering priorities that are aligned with business objectives * Consults and collaborates with other functional business leaders to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals specific to the needs of the business * Establishes and effectively communicates the engineering vision, objectives, strategies and priorities to the engineering team and key business unit leaders * Hires, coaches, and develops engineering talent to cultivate a high-performing team focused on delivering the objectives of the business * Drives a strong culture of delivering on-time, on-budget projects that meet quality standards * Plans and manages the team's budgets and staffing, to fulfill annual and long-range plans * Maintains a knowledge and awareness of emerging advanced technology and trends to ensure integration of emerging technologies into the design and manufacturing of products * Reviews the current and future technology needs of the team and plans for future implementation of technology applications * Other responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field * Master's degree in engineering or MBA preferred * Minimum of 10 years leadership experience, preferably leading an engineering team * Minimum of 10 years work experience in the RV, automotive, or outdoor vehicle industry * Minimum of five years project management experience * Working knowledge of NX and Teamcenter or other 3D modeling tools * Global experiences desirable * Training in Lean or Continuous Improvement Principles By fostering innovation, igniting growth, promoting well-being and connecting with purpose, we cultivate the passion and pride that make both work and play extraordinary.
