Your Job Georgia-Pacific's Dixie products manufacturing facility located in Darlington, South Carolina has an opening for a Reliability Engineer reporting directly to our Maintenance & Reliability Manager. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our facility's equipment and processes. This role involves analyzing equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance overall reliability and productivity. Our Team The Darlington Dixie plant has been in operation for nearly 85 years and is one of the largest employers in Darlington County. Owned by Georgia-Pacific, the site boasts more than 400 employees and produces plates, bowls, and other tableware products. Affectionately known as "Dixie Cup" by many in Darlington - the plant shifted its focus to exclusively making plates and bowls in 2020 as part of a $145 million facility upgrade and expansion project. For nearly a century, we've created products that make lives easier. From the first disposable paper cup to our strong and stylish modern plates, the history of Dixie is one of bringing people together. What You Will Do * Partner with manufacturing team members using reliability models, methods, and analysis to improve equipment reliability, product quality, and safety. * Implement and maintain predictive maintenance management systems such as vibration analysis, lube oil analysis, ultrasonic testing and infrared scanning. * Facilitate Root Cause Analysis of downtime events to prevent future unplanned failures. * Support the development of machinery asset strategies including detailed preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and critical spare parts. * Maintain facility and machine reliability documentation and technical library for easy access to Operations, Maintenance, etc. * Lead FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and Design for Reliability on new and existing equipment. * Maintain and review key performance indicators and dashboards with operations and maintenance to ensure asset strategies effectiveness. * Lead site's utilization of vibration analysis technology. * Actively participate in driving a safety culture where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and participate and make suggestions for improvements. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering (or related) field. * Experience with Root Cause Analysis and other reliability methodologies. * Experience analyzing condition monitoring data to provide root cause and corrective action recommendations. * Strong computer application and systems proficiency. What Will Put You Ahead * Experience working as a Reliability, Mechanical or Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing facility. * Experience working in a high-volume automated manufacturing facility * Experience with converting, consumer products / packaging, printing / paper making machinery. * Experience working with predictive tools to understand process and equipment failures. * Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. * Experience facilitating FMEAs (Failure Modes Effects Analysis) to understand the way equipment fails, specifically on new equipment not yet installed At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
