Who We Serve Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional-age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal-eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare and Ventura Counties. About our Program: The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a 23hr 59min hospital diversion program available for children on a 5150 "hold" or involuntary commitment. The CSU provides services to children experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency. Services provided include a comprehensive risk assessment by a clinician, as well as assessments by psychiatrists and nurses. Additionally, there will be recommendations for after care planning, referral to outpatient services, and if needed, post crisis stabilization services (PCSS) for ongoing mental health services. Duration of position: Monday, August 26th - June 30th, 2025 TBD Population Served: Clients 5-21 What We Offer * Pay Range: $21.00 an hour. JOB SUMMARY: Duration of position: Monday, August 26th - June 30th, 2025 Shifts: To be determined (24 hours a week.) Program Type: CRISIS Under close supervision, incumbents build and maintain a caseload typically of four to eight clients. Participates in group therapy sessions, attend weekly supervision, and intern training and/or clinical case consultations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Build and maintain an active caseload of a minimum of four to six clients. * Serve as a co-facilitator in one or more weekly group therapy sessions at an Agency service site. * Attend one-hour individual supervision and two-hour group supervision per week. * Attend one 2-hour intern training or clinical case consultation per week. * Actively participates in agency training opportunities as appropriate. * Complete agency and county-required documentation as required within applicable timelines. * Conform to all legal and ethical standards applicable to psychotherapy or counseling providers as required by state law, agency requirements, and the profession. * Other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE * Bachelor of Arts/Science (B.A./B.S.) in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Psychology. * One (1) year of related experience or training in an accredited Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology graduate program. * Current enrollment in a Masters or Doctoral program in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology. * Authorization from the intern's college or university to begin a trainee assignment, practicum, or internship at Agency. * Actively working to fulfill hours towards licensure if on the MFT track. (By regulation, MSW graduate students are not eligible to earn hours toward BBS licensure). POSTGRADUATE * Trainees have completed all requirements and possess a degree as described above. * Career Ladder Opportunity: We may hire an individual into this position that is within 6 months of graduating with their master's degree in a related field and meets all other requirements. The position offered will be a non-exempt Clinical Professional Trainee position. Once the degree is conferred, the individual will have 90 days to obtain BBS registration.
