Posting Number 0801557 Classification Title Research Farm Laborer Working Title Department 1890 Land Grant Research Department Contact Email mhoffmaster@centralstate.edu Job Summary/Basic Function Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Farm Operations, the position of Research Farm Laborer will consist of duties to include but are not limited to the following: Operate agricultural equipment for the purposes of research activities. This may include tractors, tillage equipment, planting equipment, fertilizing equipment, etc. Operate soil sampling equipment both on campus and off campus. Hauling materials to both on and off campus sites using a pick-up truck and gooseneck or bumper pull trailer. Operating bush hogs, weed eaters, rototillers, and hand tools to maintain Land-Grant Research areas. Perform routine maintenance on agricultural equipment. Work with research and farm staff to carry out research projects. Complete all necessary forms and paperwork required by the University in a timely manner. Any and all other duties as assigned.
