Position Summary: This position provides oversight of clinical services in collaboration with the Business Office under the direction of the Chief Medical Director/Executive Director of Clinical Operations. Essential Responsibilities: Essential Job Duties * Assist CMD/EDCO as to which clinical services will be offered at BCNH. * Provide oversight for clinical services by all clinical faculty, and students at BCNH. * Collaborate with Associate Clinical Dean and Clinical Program Directors (aka clinical leads) to develop processes to optimize the clinical care experience for patients and the educational experience for the student clinician. * Assists Business Manager and CMD/EDCO in ensuring that the business office, comprised of the practitioner care, billing and patient service representative areas, operates in a clinically and fiscally responsible manner and according to established goals. * Co-responsible, with the business office manager, for ensuring the success of this department's financial and operational goals. * Serves as a member of the Clinic Operations Group, Clinic Leadership Committee abd other committees assigned by CMD/EDCO. * Responsible for working alongside academic and other departments/divisions [e.g., Finance, HR, IT] of the university. * Ensures patient and client treatments comply with internal policies and procedures, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements according to local, state and national standards. * Collaborate with the business office to determine proper coding practices and facilitate instruction for faculty and clinical leads. * Collaborate with clinical leads, marketing department and business office manager regarding patient recruitment and retention strategies. * Assist CMD/EDCO in development of Clinical Strategic Plan and the central repository for new ideas and innovative thinking regarding the provision of clinical services. * Coordinates clinic inventory management system. * Facilitate and direct communications and streamline policies/procedures at clinics and between departments. * Participates in quarterly training activities including safety and HIPPA compliance for faculty and students. * Manage practitioner care contracts and co-manage practitioner care providers with Business Manager. * Develop policies and procedures to support the facilitation of clinical enterprises as appropriate. Other Responsibilities * Complete special projects assigned by the CMD/EDCO * Supervises Residents related to their administrative time such as inventory management, ordering of supplies, support to Practitioner Care Providers, etc. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications and Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various constituencies-administrators, faculty, staff and students; ability to maintain confidentiality. * Experience in business or operations management or equivalent experience * Excellent time management and problem-solving skills * Excellent leadership skills and an ability to collaborate well with others * Concentration on continuous improvement in the clinical, business office and retail areas * Excellent critical thinking skills and elevated multitasking skills * Awareness of issues in the field of clinical operations * Demonstrated commitment to promoting and implementing inclusive and equitable practices within the clinical environment. * Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to draft correspondence, informational materials and reports. * Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with providers, students and patients and in one-on-one and group venues. Able to make connections with individuals and with small and large groups by being personable and friendly. * Excellent customer service skills. * Detail oriented and able to spot errors quickly. * Ability to be a self-starter and explore, conceptualize and execute new initiatives. Experience: * Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a higher education or clinic setting. * Supervisory experience in a higher education environment required. * Five (5) years' experience using electronic health records systems. Education: This position requires a Professional degree or equivalent in one of the clinical practice areas currently taught at the clinic. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of EHR reporting systems * Skill in using Microsoft Teams Education & Experience: * Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine
