Home Repair Volunteer Operations Vista Home Repairs for Good's mission is to help older adults and individuals with disabilities age in place safely and with dignity. We do this by providing home repairs at no cost to the homeowner. By being that home repair partner for older adults, we contribute to the stabilization of our communities by enabling pillars of the community who have helped build their neighborhoods remain as they age. Since our founding in 2013, we have completed more than 5,000 home repairs for more than 1,500 homeowners. For one year, you can be instrumental in helping us build our capacity through improving processes, procedures, and strengthening the logistics of our operations, particularly when and where we utilize volunteers for home repairs. Member Duties : The Home Repair Volunteer Operations Vista member creates, documents and implements a plan to improve volunteer group operations. Explore coordination processes between the volunteer management and operation logistics and related systems currently in place to help identify best practices and areas for improvement. Develop and implement an enhanced volunteer group operations plan that addresses preparation, planning, scheduling, home repair projects, handy volunteer program projects and work site safety for volunteers. Test, evaluate and revise the project plan; develop manuals and training to ensure sustainability beyond your service.
