Job Title Student Wellness Advocate (SWAG), 24-25 Job Description Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Health Promotion, the Student Wellness Advocates will work as a team to develop and implement health/wellness programming for the Elizabethtown College community. (#NOINDEED) Job Duties The advocate's hours will consist of managing The WELL, promoting the Bowers Center for Sports, Fitness & Well-being, assisting with campus wide events (i.e. Accepted Students' Day, orientation) and supporting the efforts of health/wellness services on campus. Some evening and weekend hours are required. Advocates must arrive early to campus to attend mandatory training in August and January. During the semester, advocates are expected to attend weekly staff meetings. * Wellness advocates are expected to attend wellness programs on campus and serve as a role model on campus. Required Qualifications * Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Good interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player. * Exceptional conversation skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Publisher) * Be in good standing with Elizabethtown College Preferred Qualifications Interest in health & wellness Physical Demands * Occasionally required to stand for long/extended periods. * Regularly required to move about. * Regularly required to maintain balance while walking, standing, crouching, or running. * Occasionally required to reach up and out with hands & arms. * Regularly required to talk and hear; verbally express information or instructions. * Regularly required to use hands to grasp objects, type, pick up objects, move objects or hold objects. * Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry a distance of 10 feet. * Occasionally required to push and/or pull up to 25 pounds a distance of 10 feet.
