Duties Promote a master budget and supervisor equipment inventories. 2. Prepare a master sports calendar that includes conference and non-conference games/ events. 3. Coordinate gym, building and athletic field use with the District Office and maintain the district building use calendar. 4. Coordinate gym use for practices and games and give final clearance for the use of either the gym or the athletic field. 5. Coordinate the maintenance program for facilities and fields (includeing mowing, seeding, weeding and lining) with advisement from Superintendent and the Maintenance Director. 6. Verifies that each athlete has on file proof of insurance, a physial examination, a parental consent and an emergency permission form. 7. Administers the insurance program covering school athletes and assumes responsibility that all reports and claims are done through the school office. 8. Works with coaching staff and transportation supervisor to schedule all athletic departure times and provide bus supervison with trip sheets. 9. Coordinate the hiring and paying of officials, team physicians, athletic trainers, police officers, and emergency personnel. 10. Assumes overall responsibility for the proper supervison of home games, ticket sales, and the proper handling and accounting of all monies involved. 11. Assists in selecting, assigning and evaluating coaching personnel. 12. Plans and supervises an annual recognition program in each sport for all school athletes. 13. Maintains records of all results of all athletic contests and maintains a record file of all award winners, stating the date and type of award, including athletic scholarships. 14. Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent. Qualifications 1. Previous experience with athletic programs and/or recreational programs. 2. Effective interpersonal and leadership skills. 3. Experience facilitating communication between divergent groups in group decision making. 4. Effective administrative and management skills, including the effective utilization of computers, technology and information management tools. 5. Administrative endorsement preferred. 6. Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, parents and students. 7. Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner.
