The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, vendor management, pricing strategies, and budget planning. This extremely data-driven role is essential in ensuring our stores are stocked with high-quality products at competitive prices while hitting business goals maintaining and strong vendor relationships. Essential Job Functions: * Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure a consistent, high-quality inventory for all retail locations. * Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms. * Manage the procurement process, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. * Evaluate and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards. * Identify new vendors and opportunities to enhance the product offering. * Develop pricing strategies that are competitive and aligned with market trends. * Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute promotions and discounts. * Monitor sales performance and adjust pricing strategies as needed to optimize revenue and profitability. * Prepare and manage the purchasing budget for all retail locations. * Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality. * Analyze financial reports and provide insights to senior management on purchasing trends and budget performance. * Ensure all purchasing activities comply with state regulations governing the cannabis industry * Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Required: Must be at least 21 years of age * Must have high school diploma or equivalent * Must have a valid drivers' license and clean driving record * Must have reliable transportation * Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the cannabis industry * Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Division of Cannabis Control * Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation * Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: This section outlines the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the Purchasing Manager to be successful in their role. It is not intended to be an all-inclusive list. * Exceptional communication skills with the ability to speak with all groups of people * Strong negotiation and vendor management skills * Proven experience in budgeting and financial management * Strong Excel and computer system skills * Knowledge of State of Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program rules and regulations * Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task or switch between tasks easily * Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy * Ability to work with minimal supervision * Ability to take the initiative, show motivation, and be dependable * Ability to be a self-starter and see projects through to completion * Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
