Virginia ABC is currently seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to lead our sales, marketing and business development teams and drive strategic growth through innovative business development, exceptional customer relations and transformative market strategies. The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is crucial in driving the overall commercial strategy and revenue generation for the organization. This position will oversee sales, marketing, and business development efforts, aligning them with the company's goals and objectives. The position plays a key role in identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and optimizing customer engagement, contributing to business growth, market expansion, and long-term profitability Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Include: Analyzing, Monitor & Report Data * Review and analyze financial, sales, business development and customer success data * Based on data, determine best way for Virginia ABC to meet its goals and objectives * Create accountability within Virginia ABC by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions with these metrics * Presents financial reports related to sales to other members of the c-suite * Performing a budget analysis and developing an effective budget plan as per the development of the business structure * Analyzing market trends and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for innovation and differentiation Marketing Operations & Leadership * Ensures the development of an annual integrated agency marketing and merchandising plan including development of promotional, branding and communications strategies that address all facets of the operation including discounting strategies, in-store advertising and displays, events, consumer and employee outreach, store design, etc. * Ensures the use of sound analytical methodology and analysis to formulate accurate representations of division positions, assessment of strategic issues, and relevant performance improvement targets * Certifies marketing plans incorporate consumer survey, industry data and best practices to effectively identify marketing and promotional strategies that improve employee, licensee and consumer knowledge of agency product offerings * Ensures proper marketing resources are used to develop appropriate performance measures and opportunities to improve sales and promotional effectiveness * Collaborates with appropriate divisions and committees to develop and implement innovative store merchandising plans that improve customer satisfaction, support product promotional objectives and maintain store operational efficiencies * Meet and build relationships with industry participants who engage in category management and marketing activities to bring best practices to the attention of Virginia ABC. Position should understand what suppliers are doing in the market and where Virginia ABC could utilize their tools or programming to benefit our operations Digital Operations * Provides leadership and direction to the digital operations division on the development of programs that promote utilization of the website for ecommerce and general information. * Support launching Virginia ABC's new eCommerce program; implements a new eCommerce platform, website redesign, order management, identity management, and customer relationship management with a focus on customer engagement * Facilitates work between digital operations division and other divisions so that website is utilized to its full potential Business Development * Creating and promoting new leads and with the help of various approaches strengthening prospective accounts * Building strong and collaborative relationships with other internal stakeholders * Identify new growth opportunities within the spirits industry * Lead initiatives to establish partnerships and collaborations that can expand the business Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or related field or comparable experience * Proven track record in a senior sales leadership position * Must have developed, promoted and led a high-performing sales team * Overnight travel may be required.
