APPLY NOW St. Charles County Collector of Revenue is hiring a seasonal Notary Public to assist with the Seniors Real Estate Property Tax Relief program. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responds to inquiries from walk-in taxpayers and provides and records information as appropriate. * Greets and assists taxpayers face to face. * Verify the identity of customer who need notary services. * Witness and authenticate signatures on documents. * Ensure that all parties involved in the notarization process are acting of their own free will. * Ensure the accuracy of documents prior to notarization. * Record notarizations in a journal. * Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude with customers. * Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to the notarization of documents. REQUIREMENTS: * Education * High school diploma or equivalent. * Certifications * Valid Notary Public certification required. * Knowledge, skills, and abilities * Able to work with minimal supervision. * Proficient in Microsoft Office. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of notary laws and regulations. * Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. * Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. * Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
