Your Job We are seeking a knowledgeable Facilities Manager to join the team at Georgia-Pacific's Halsey, OR. This role will have responsibility for planning and execution of all maintenance activities that support the manufacturing operation but are not directly involved in the production process. These areas include building and auxiliary equipment. To ensure success, the facilities manager should exhibit experience in facility maintenance and the ability to consult with contractors. A top-notch facilities manager should be a maintenance expert who promotes an efficient and safe environment. Our Team The selected candidate will report into the mills Facility Maintenance Leader. This position will present opportunities to interact and collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and third-party vendors to ensure the facility is running effectively and efficiently. What You Will Do * Responding to urgent maintenance calls, supporting a 24/7/365 production operation * Managing building and equipment maintenance schedules * Utilize mechanical integrity skills to develop and prepare work scopes for fixed equipment inspections and repairs * Manage fixed equipment records of past inspections and testing in an IDMS including permanent records highlighting areas to be inspected, type, amount, and what damage mechanisms to expect * Execute fixed equipment inspection and repairs through a CMMS including creation of model (repetitive) work orders, managing the workflow process from cradle to grave * Coordinate maintenance of equipment and consult with maintenance staff to determine future requirements * Plan scope of work and manage local contractors and vendors including the following but not limited to: roads, grounds, railroad, roofing, roof fans, drains, siding, trenches, painting, catwalks, asphalt, concrete repairs, pipe bridges, as well as cranes/hoists; and support systems such as chillers, air compressors, air dryers, HVACs, tanks, pressure vessels, SRV valves, tile chests, etc. * Coordinate with production managers and supervisors to establish priorities of equipment maintenance while scheduling workload to satisfy production requirements * Coordinate with production managers and supervisors to issue "Save-my-Life (SML) permits and supporting permits to the contractors as needed * Coordinate resources with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners for multi-discipline resources to interact/support the contractors as needed * Coordinates with Planners, Procurement and Supervisors to obtain the correct parts, equipment and services for maintenance and repair of facility equipment * Documenting processes and keeping maintenance records * Completes reports, records, and performs other administrative duties as required Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * 5 years' experience in maintenance field with emphasis on facilities (i.e., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, Fixed Equipment, Mechanical Integrity) * 2 years of supervisory experience OR 2 years managing contractors * Experience identifying, selecting, and overseeing specialty contractors in various functional areas What Will Put You Ahead * Proven leadership experience in a large industrial environment * Technical degree in mechanical or civil discipline * API, AWS CWI certifications * NBIS Inspection Certification * Pressure vessel and tank repair planning / scheduling experience * External contractor coordination experience * In-depth knowledge of building safety regulations and security protocols. * Proficiency in computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP #LI-AG4 At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
