Job Description: One- Stop Delhi's Office Student Assistants are expected to carry themselves in a professional, polite manner. Assistants are expected to come into the position with maturity and a strong work ethic and must be able to follow written and oral directions from full time staff. Typical duties include but are not limited to: answering phones, attending to in-person customer service needs, directing questions to the correct office or staff member, and general office duties. We are looking for students who can work independently as well as a member of a team. Responsibilities: * Answer One - Stop Delhi office phones to provide first-level contact and problem resolution/referral. * Greet in-person visitors to the office courteously and assist/direct them appropriately. * Assist students and families with filling out and submitting federal, state, and institutional aid applications. * Work with students and perform outreach to obtain the documentation necessary to process the FAFSA for those who are selected for verification. * Participate in college events such as Discover Delhi Open House, Bronco Ready Orientation, and Delhi Decision Days * Review forms/paperwork being submitted to ensure that it is complete, including any/all approval signatures. * Open mail and direct to the correct staff member. * Scan and index documents to student records in Xtender. * Learn and be able to explain basic academic policies and processes. * Help campus community with navigating the web site. * Strong attention to detail and time management skills * Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely. * Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Available to work some evenings and weekends Requirements: * Have and maintain a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA. * Be in current and maintain good judicial standing with no significant judicial history. * Have excellent communication skills. * Able to lift 35 lbs. (preferred). * Have at least 3 semesters left before graduation (preferred). Additional Information: Salary: $15/hr Other expectations: Attend monthly meetings/training (approx. 30 min-1 hr) Two forms of identification needed to complete HR paperwork: i.e. passport or birth certificate and social security card/driver license
