Purpose of the job To manage R&D activities and day-to-day operations through supervising and management of a team, ensuring of delivery the product development plan and quality programs in the waterproofing category required by the South Asia BU Deco business . Key responsibilities Category lead: * Leading a team and ensuring execution and delivery of agreed plans, using multiple areas of expertise available. * Ensuring preparation, testing, developing, analysing and researching elements (e.g. problems, questions, ideas) in own discipline. * Attracting, leading, coaching, appraising and developing team members. * Demonstrating and driving safety leadership. * Driving engagement and managing talent development and succession planning * Manages the execution of the multi-year plan in own team, safeguards planning and budget of activities in own team and provides input to the development of the year plan. * Partner within R&D and other departments (like supply chain and/or marketing) to align activities with commercial plans. * Works with various stakeholders including suppliers to develop a marketing leading innovation pipeline. 3.
