Overview This role will work with our HYFI team to edit assigned products and ensure the development of trustworthy content for ministry leaders. The Digital Content Specialist ensures biblical accuracy and edits according to the Baptist Faith and Message and conservative evangelical theology. The Digital Content Specialist ensures instructional soundness and relevance of the content to the target age group and audience. The Digital Content Specialist leads in-person and virtual training sessions as assigned. Why Lifeway? Responsibilities * Collaborates between publishing team and media team to develop trustworthy content that fuels ministry by aligning with Scripture, Baptist Faith and Message, and conservative evangelical theology. * Edits manuscripts with sensitivity to potentially controversial issues and to ensure conservative evangelical theology. * Represents publishing team by being on-set for video shoots. * Identifies, recruits, enlists and coordinates outside curriculum writers to develop fresh content for resources. Initiates contracts and requests payments for writers. * Monthly collaborates with IT team to design and deliver files for platform use. * Regularly engages in conversations with church leaders to listen, encourage, and discover ways to develop resources based on relevant church practices and customer needs; provide training, virtually and in-person 8-10 times per year. * Stays current with cultural issues and research pertaining to students in order to inform content accuracy. * Assists with curating, writing, and editing content/resources for parents and volunteers. * Writes content for sessions and session scripts as needed Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree in Media/Video/Film production, Bible, Christian education, English, Journalism, or Communications Experience: * Editorial (3-5 years) * Church staff and denominational experience (3-5 years) Other Requirements: * Ability to travel to attend meetings and to lead trainings (8-10 times per year) * Efficient self-governing time management * Ability to meet weekly/monthly/annual deadlines Options
