We are seeking a Content Strategist to lead the development and digital publishing of educational content for plan participants. You will play a key role on the Insights & Education team, supporting the vision for the content and user experience that appears on schwab.com for plan participants. You will work with key business partners and stakeholders to identify content needs, gain alignment on an editorial agenda, and lead the execution of content creation, optimization and publishing. As a Content Strategist, you should have proven writing and editing capabilities, and be able to distill complex investing and retirement topics in a way that is both easy to understand and engaging. You should have a solid understanding of markets and investing, and topics such as retirement, 401k plans and equity compensation. * Serve as the lead writer for our plan participant educational content, setting our editorial calendar and driving content development from start to finish. * Collaborate with business partners and subject-matter experts to identify new content topics and needs, and to edit and optimize existing content. * Partner with digital marketing team to design, manage and enhance the participant education user experience, leveraging the broader digital capabilities of Schwab. * Monitor content and website performance, making recommendations for optimization and future content to build on success. What you have To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have: Required Qualifications: * 5+ years' experience writing and editing investor educational content. * Solid understanding of personal finance, investing, retirement and equity compensation. * Extensive experience with schwab.com or other Schwab websites either as a Schwab associate or contractor * Understanding of Schwab lines of business, particularly Workplace Financial Services. * Knowledge of SEO, social media, and digital marketing. * Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS). * Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related field or equivalent experience. * Preferred Qualifications: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong project management and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently yet comfortable seeking guidance from business partners and peers when needed. In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
